2011 Brings The Same Dream Team Roster and New Partners

The team is preparing to launch into the sixth season with three new partners.

The Topeak-Ergon Racing Team goes with an unchanged rider lineup in the 2011 season and starts on Canyon bikes. The team can look back on three world championship titles, three silver medal at world championships, an Olympic medal and a multiplicity of national and international victories. As a new team in 2005, Topeak-Ergon has developed into one of the most successful teams in the World.

With cooperation with Canyon, the marathon world champion Alban Lakata, Irina Kalentieva, the cross country world champion in 2007 and 2009, as well the three-times German champion Wolfram Kurschat will race and train on top equipment during the 2011 season.

Bikes with exclusive team design will also be ridden by multiple British champion Sally Bigham, and Robert Mennen. The Topeak-Ergon U.S. Racing Team and legend Dave Wiens will also pilot the bikes of premium brand, Canyon.

Team-Manager Dirk Juckwer stated after the contract was signed: “With Canyon, we have found an innovative partner, that is technologically at the highest level. The long experience of Canyon as a sponsor of a professional road team will strengthen our infrastructure and the global media presence of Canyon will promote the awareness of our team.”

Also new for 2011, handlebar, stems and seatposts will provided by Ritchey.  RockShox also joins as a new partner in 2011. The manufacturer will support the team with forks and shocks. The SID World Cup will be color-matched to the design team, so that the distinctive appearance of the team remains the same.
