sfbikeexpo-2015

</a>The SF Bike Expo is coming back again this year and it always attracts a diverse crowd of cycling enthusiasts. Mtbr and RoadBikeReview are long time sponsors and we enjoy having the show right in our own backyard. It was pared back a bit last year but interest remains solid. So far, there are over 50 vendors already confirmed like ABUS locks, Spank/iXS, Dainese, DZR, e13/The Hive, Gamut USA, Hydrapak, Light & Motion, MagicShine, RaceFace, 6D helmets, Rip van Wafels, Velotoze and many more. Our friends from Dirt Rag/Bicycle Times will also be in attendance as well as many local bike clubs and cycling advocacy groups.

The swap meet provides the core of the show as many cyclists from all over the SF Bay Area and beyond buy, sell or trade all kinds of bikes and parts. With the absence of events like AT's Showdown, there is another event that is brand new for this year. We talked to SF Bike Expo founder and main man, Phil Segurra who gave us this clue, "It's a Rail Jam called the Great Rail Debate and it's gonna go off!"

There are also quite a few handmade bicycle builders showing their craftwork to the general public. The photo studio is always a popular place to watch many of these works of art getting shot for future uses. Valet bike parking is free but auto parking is $10, so attendees are advised to arrive by bicycle or to ride share. Our advice to all those looking to score a deal on bike stuff, come early!
