Ashes to Dust with Emanuel Pombo

“Hi Mtbr, My name is Emanuel Pombo and I’m the Portuguese Downhill National Champion. I’m from an island called Madeira in Portugal! Madeira is known worldwide as the island of eternal Spring, frequently called has Garden Island or Pearl of the Atlantic. We can start riding from the top of the island (1800 meters) till sea level and it has a mild climate throughout the entire year. I love riding because is so fun and makes me happy. I ride for Specialized Portugal so I got a chance to ride some the coolest bikes in the market! My goals for 2013 are to be again national champion and try to be top 20 in a World Cup or in the World Champs. Beyond riding, I just finished my university degree in Tourism, love to build trails around my home and in the future I want to help making Madeira be one of thefinest places in the world to ride bikes. And my dream is to have my own MTB House!” -Emanuel

Video Description

The new MADproductions project with the portuguese pro downhill rider, Emanuel Pombo. Filmed in Catripo track in Ponta do Pargo, Madeira Island.

Emanuel and the MADproductions filmed for two days in one of the most awesome tracks in Madeira. Our Island was crushed by fires, and it’s sad to watch amazing landscapes burned and black. It’s important to warn the populations about the danger of making fires. That’s why we appeal to people to protect our nature.
