Blackburn Design Launches New Products, New ‘Out There’ Website

News

Remember the old Blackburn Mammoth pump? This was one of the first mini pumps optimized for mountain biking and it was a heck of a product when we purchased it over a decade ago the during the infancy of Mtbr.com. Well the brand has gone through a lot of transition and we are happy to report that it is going through a renaissance as they’ve redesigned a lot of their products (including the Mammoth pump) and Blackburn is doing more to support riders and mountain biking.

We’re testing a bunch of new Blackburn products now so stay tuned for updates. Meanwhile, check in to see what they’re up to.

Designed with Blackburn’s spirit of adventure ethos as primary driver, the company’s Out There website is a portal to tales from two iconic cycling routes, the Pacific Coast Highway and the Great Divide. Each route serves as blank canvas for the Blackburn ambassadors — nicknamed “Rangers” — who document the adventures they have along the way, then share them on this new website.

Whether tackling rugged off road passes or roughing it through the soaking rains of the Pacific Northwest, these experiences are truly about getting out into the world and exploring by bicycle. The new website also includes lots of useful hints and entertaining anecdotes to help you plan your own “Out There” adventure.

Check out this video for a taste of those adventures or head to www.BlackburnDesign.com to learn more.

About the author: Francis Cebedo

The founder of mtbr and roadbikereview, Francis Cebedo believes that every cyclist has a lot to teach and a lot to learn. "Our websites are communal hubs for sharing cycling experiences, trading adventure stories, and passing along product information and opinions." Francis' favorite bike is the last bike he rode, whether it's a dirt jumper, singlespeed, trail bike, lugged commuter or ultralight carbon road steed. Indeed, Francis loves cycling in all its forms and is happiest when infecting others with that same passion. Francis also believes that IPA will save America.
