Bicycle Film Festival Opportunities Available Hit Brand Influencers in NYC, LA, Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, Minneapolis, Portland and More… New York, New York - May 20, 2008 - - Think the Urban Cycling craze is new? The Bicycle Film Festival has been bringing road, mountain, track, leisure, BMX and city biking to the masses since its inception in 2000. Now is your opportunity to partner with the Festival to bring your brand and message to the influencers in the top cycling markets in the US and abroad.

The Bicycle Film Festival was founded at the turn of the century by cycling enthusiast Brendt Barbur. Since then it has grown to over fifteen separate festivals around the globe celebrating Bicycle Films, art, people, parties and more. The first installment of the festival begins on May 28th in New York City.

Massive Growth

“The Bicycle Film Festival continues to double in size every year,” states BFF Founder Brendt Barbur. “This is where the influencers come and take away the trends that are shaping the bicycle industry. We are on the verge of a “Tipping Point” that we’ve known is coming, and current gas prices aren’t hurting the trend.” The 2008 Festival kicks off next Wednesday the 28th with a “Bikes Rock” party in Brooklyn, followed by a bicycle art show and Celebrity/VIP Dinner on Thursday to be attended by movies stars and the ultimate cycling celebrities. The main film sessions start on Friday, continuing through Sunday night. A street party on Saturday afternoon brings the bikes to the beat on the streets of NYC.

Companies that don’t want to miss brand association with this event and the subsequent events around the country and globe should contact Steve Boehmke at 714.633.9955 to discuss partnership opportunities. “The BFF is so far ahead of it’s time,” comments Boehmke. “Brendt brings together bikes, film, art, celebrities and a party atmosphere. Not many cycling events do better than that…”

About the Bicycle Film Festival The Bicycle Film Festival celebrates the bicycle. We are into all styles of bikes and biking. If you can name it-Tall Bike Jousting, Track Bikes, BMX, Alleycats, Critical Mass, Bike Polo, Cycling to Recumbents- we’ve probably either ridden or screened it. What better way to celebrate these lifestyles than through art, film, music and performance? We bring together all aspects of bicycling together to advocate its ability to transport us in many ways. Ultimately the Fest is about having a good time.

We have been fortunate enough to include works of established artists such as Jorgen Leth, Mike Mills, Jonas Mekas, Blonde Redhead, Swoon and Michel Gondry among others as part of our programming. Many of the artists who have participated in the Bike Film Fest such as Nick Golebiewski, the Neistat Brothers and Lucas Brunelle are gaining more and more re-cognition for their work. Sign up for the email list or just come out and enjoy our 8th Annual Bicycle Film Festival.
