Trenton, NJ - February 23, 2009 - - Dana Carson has been promoted to Managing Director of Hutchinson Tire North America. After spending a year as Aftermarket Sales Manager, Carson now assumes responsibility for the expansion of Hutchinson’s bicycle tire division.

“I’m honored to take the helm of a company that develops the most cutting edge bicycle tires in the world,” states Carson. “With rapidly expanding sales of our Road Tubeless technology, seven Tour de France Victories in the last ten years, and World Cup, World Champ and Olympic winning mountain bike designs in our lineup, we’re taking this great brand to new heights.”

I purchased two fusion2 tubeless tires April 7,2009 and after putting on 350 miles of enjoyable flat free suburb smooth miles I encountered a sidewall failure with my rear tire. I love these tires but a failure after so few miles led me to look at others who have used these tires and found out that there have been a few problems with the tires in the past like I have encountered.

I installed them on a Shimano WH-7850-SL wheel set using the Hutchinson product fast’ air for initial inflation. I weigh 167 lbs and always rode with the tire at 95lbs pressure.
I am asking for a replacement for this tire and would gladly send you the tire to you so you could determine how to avoid a similar situation in the future.

    Thank you,
    Conrad Grams
