Dear Gregg,

Welcome to the GT Bicycles Update.

MTB RACE NEWS

La Bresse World Cup

Mick takes THIRD place!

The GT professional MTB team began their European tour of the UCI World Cup downhill circuit in La Bresse, France. The team had a short break after the Sea Otter Classic event and were very anxious to get on some of the legendary courses of the circuit.

With the threat of rain and the tricky sections of the course the team was trying their best to prepare for all conditions. They all ran their qualifying runs on a dry course so there were no real surprises after practicing their runs. Kevin had a tough run but managed to make the cut to the final along with teammate Marc Beaumont. DH stunner Mick Hannah didn’t feel the like he had a solid run but still managed to secure the 3rd fastest time in qualifying.

Early season standout Mick Hannah wasn’t feeling his best on the short French course but you wouldn’t have known it after he landed on the podium on his GT Fury with a third place! The run even surprised him but he will take it as it keeps him firmly planted in the #2 spot in the overall UCI World Cup rankings!
