NEWS

On February 5th 2008, the UCI informed us that 7 riders who had participated in the 2007 event had been disqualified. The decision was taken based on the rules of participation in the Masters, which stipulate:

1. any rider who, during the current year, has ridden a mountain bike event on the international calendar of regional games or Commonwealth Games other than a masters event, with the exception of the world mountain bike marathon championships and World Cup marathon events;
2. any rider who during the current year has been a member of a team registered with the UCI.
Can not participate in the UCI Mountain Bike Masters World Championships.

LAST MINUTE

REGISTRATION : In order to confirm that each competitor fulfils the UCI participation requirements, registration will close 8 days before the event. Thus, this year there will not be the option of signing up at the event. This is to allow race officials time to verifiy each application.

VTT PASS : Downhill riders who want to check out the new trails, can purchase a cable car pass for 54€ for 6 days (non-consecutive).

UPDATE
As of the 29th February 2008, 307 competitors have registered: 221 for Cross-country and 85 for Downhill.
