  1. Oliver Says:

Looks nice, but why no 28.6 front derailleur clamp options? There are plenty of steel frames that still use 28.6. Niner to name one.

  2. It's OK Says:

Why exactly do I need 10 speed? I feel the beginning of a big pole being inserted again, just like the giant pole we all received when 9 speed was FORCED upon us. 2 years to come up with a 2×10 system nobody really wants, be nicer to come out with a 2×9 system that people can integrate into what they already spent money on because the industry forced us there.

Another example of how bad the Bike world is getting.

Why no Grip Shift SRAM? All in all a pretty dismal release of something I can go out and make myself for a lot cheaper.

  3. Will T Smith Says:

I like all the T-25 bolts. I wish all the bolts on a bike were Torx. VERY hard to strip.

  4. Can hardly wait! Says:

I already run a Campy 10spd ‘2×10′ system and I think it’s great. Whl’s Mfg 11×27 cassette, Campy 10spd FB shifters and Racing T crank with big ring removed. I’m able to easily climb everything at the Canmore Nordic Center with MY granny gear at a 30×27 ratio. If you’re strong and light ’sub 150 lbs’ then a 2×10 makes perfect sense… you should have heard all the comments I received as I quickly passed other riders in the 24H race on every climbing section of the 18km course. Other people were spinning out, always reaching for the next easier gear to SPIN. I prefer to push HARD and go FAST. The XX system will give me those few extra climbing gear inches only needed for those rare slow technical climbs…. so there IS a purpose to this XX system from SRAM, you just have to be the right kind of rider to be able to appreciate it. Not everyone can turn a 55×11T rings on a TT bike either but it doesn’t mean they’re not for sale…. because there are those that CAN!
