SSWC 08 - Singlespeed World Championships in Napa, CA

August 28th, 2008 by Francois

Rachel Lloyd won the women’s race. She had the customary winner’s tattoo placed in a very strategic area. We’re still waiting for those photos.

Mark Weir used a singlespeed Nomad for this race. Folks shook their heads until they saw him lead almost the entire race. On the last lap, he was caught by Carl Decker and they battled it out for the win.

Real men can where a pink thong, race a SS and drink beer. Many of those men are men.

Simplicity defined…riding a single speed in your underpants. Brilliant.

Mark Weir is a legend. Love those photos of him nailing the trails while the rigid weenies struggle. I reckon he could not only take down Lance Armstrong but also Chuck Norris :D Brilliant.
