The FRX5 wheelset is a one-piece, hollow, reinforced, five-spoke composite wheel built around the reliable and durable DT Swiss 440 hubs. The wheels, which feature the star ratchet engagement system, accommodate most axle configurations with simple end cap adapters.

Cost from BTI is around 700 dollars for a set, and retail is now 800? What bike shop would carry these with margins that low?

Are they UST tubeless compatible? Seems like it would be very easy to manufacture them to be.

I like how it says “Less pinch flats!”… Why not just go ghetto tubeless?!?! Oh yeah that would add weight to an already ridiculous amount!!! Still 800$$ is way too much for plastic…

Love the concept, still riding my Spinergy Rev-X-Roks on a converted MTBroad bike and had several sets of plastic/composite wheels on my BMX bikes back in the day.
However these guys need to follow the “pick 2 rule” that we the consumers have to follow when making a purchase:
Cheap / Light / Strong, you can’t have everything so pick 2!! The problem is TAG has only choosen 1, strong, not good enough.
Either drop the weight to 2,100g for the set or drop the price to $300.
And only a 2 year warranty?!?! WEAKSAUCE!!!! I had a 3 year warranty on my Mavics.
