Knolly teams up with Anthill Films for factory video

“We have always admired the work that Anthill Films puts out.  When the opportunity to collaborate with them came up, we jumped on it.  We wanted to give our team the opportunity to work on a fun project while sharing a little insight about our company.  In addition, we hope to give you a little something to enjoy while surfing the net.  We are a company of riders for riders and just wanted to say thanks to everyone from our loyal customers to our friends and family members who have all helped make Knolly Bikes possible.  We will be releasing several more parts throughout the season.  Happy Trails.”

What’s new and exciting?
The colours of the new Knolly Bikes. Exciting: quitting my job to ride full time all summer.

Which projects are you working on this season?
I’m going on a trip with the Pist n Broke crew for two weeks up to cache creek. Hopefully get some solid lines in.

How long have you been riding?
Since I was 12.

Goals? Riding Philosophy?
To have a riding style that differs from everybody else.
Fast and smooth > awkward and slow.

What got you into riding?
Dangerous Dan Cowan, Wade Simmons, Chris Donahue, NSX3 and Kranked 2.
What has played the biggest part in getting you to this point in your riding career?
The desire for more.

Who are you representing this season? Who or what has helped?
Knolly Bikes, Sram, Rockshox, Avid, Truvativ, BLABS, Lizard Skins, and Adidas Eyewear. Big thanks to Tyler Morland and all of Sram, and of course Noel and Glew.

With so many young riders bursting onto the scene would you say you are under a lot of pressure?
Yes, and No, a lot of the younger kids are great at tricks but have trouble with a lot of very basic riding skills like cornering and pumping. Being a great rider is all about having a complete package. If you have to think about basic things like that, then you’re going to lose focus on the other side of your riding in a technical situation. There is balls and then there is smart riding.

What would you say is your biggest goal this season?
To put together a solid Video segment, get a couple good trips in the books and work on a innovative line throughout the summer.

What is the future of mountain biking in your own words?
The next redbull rampage will show where its going, and where it should be going. Thomas Vanderhams section in the new Season Flick, big mountain, dh racing, and slopestyle all mixed together. Longer, more technical lines > quick simple one hits.

Young rider that’s going to make it this year?
Graham Aggasiz, Andrew Taylor, and this is Brandon Semenuks year.

Favourite trail or trails and why?
My favourite trail isn’t built yet, but the best so far is a trail I rode in Colorado Springs, I don’t know the name of it, but its a quick lap, loose, twisty, steep and lots of big rollers. All the best in 10 minute shuttle.

Shout outs?
A big thanks to My parents, My friends, Harookz, Noel and Glew, Morland, Dawson, and Boobar of Sram. All the people Digging trails and building trails.
