Pivot Cycles Opens Canadian Distribution with On The Edge

TEMPE, AZ – Pivot Cycles is open for business in Canada. The mountain bike innovator has signed with On The Edge of Quebec to distribute its products to the ten provinces of Canada.

“We are very excited about this partnership. There is a lot of demand for Pivot in Canada and now we can take care of riders with an excellent organization like OTE. They know how to sell high end, technical product, and will represent the brand very well,” said Rob Aguero, Pivot’s international sales manager.

OTE has already begun receiving 2010 Pivot product, including the Mach 4, Mach 5, Mach 429 and Firebird.

The agreement makes OTE the exclusive distributor for Pivot Cycles in Canada. Canadian retailers will no longer be able to buy frames and bikes from Pivot in Arizona. Canadian dealers can contact OTE for information:

TEMPE, AZ – The Pivot/BH Demo truck is hitting the road with its expanded fleet of technologically advanced bikes. The 35-foot trailer will carry all the 2009 mountain bikes from Pivot and all the 2009 road bikes from Spain’s BH Bikes.

The demo tour kicks off January 4 in Plano, Texas. The rest of the year it will travel to festivals, races, dealer demos and tech clinics across the nation.

“The demo tour is a huge for both brands and our dealers. Consumers want to ride before they buy and this gets thousands of people on our bikes. Dealers love it because the results are immediate,” said Adam Vincent, Pivot/BH sales and marketing specialist.

The 2009 demo program will again be led by Pivot/BH Technical Representative Jason Mead. Mead drove the demo trailer some 38,000 miles last year, set up thousands of people on test bikes and gave hundreds of tech clinics.

TEMPE, AZ - Pivot Cycles/BH Bikes has hired industry veteran Jason Mead as its technical representative. Mead will lead the company’s 2008 demo tour.

Mead comes to the company from Slingshot Bicycles, where he was product manager. He also managed all events for the Michigan bike maker. He has years of experience in Michigan bike shops in both sales and service.

“Jason is a great fit for Pivot and BH. He has great knowledge of road and mountain product, can relate to dealers and consumers, is a hell of a rider and is a really nice guy. Everyone that has a chance should take the time to visit Jason at one of our many demo events throughout the country.” said Chris Cocalis, company founder.

Mead will lead the Pivot/BH demo tour, which began in Moab this month. Demo stops include:
