New B-Clear Lens Technology Developed for On and Off-Road Cyclists and Runners
Overland Park, KS - Designed specifically for cyclists and runners, Vortex; Helix and Draft are the first sunglasses to feature Bollé's new B-Clear lens technology. Supporting these advanced new lenses are aerodynamically shaped frames constructed with durable and extremely lightweight proprietary b88™ nylon.
Ultra-lightweight Trivex® material provides the platform for lenses that deliver the clearest possible vision of the road, track or trail. Impact resistance outperforms the polycarbonate lenses found on most other eyewear for athletes. To meet the various demands of cyclists and runners pursuing their sport in dramatically different environments, Bollé developed three distinct B-Clear lens families:
Eclipse Photochromic - Automatically lighten and darken to adapt to the ever-changing conditions. From wide open roads to tree-lined lanes and everything in between, these lenses are constantly adapting to enhance optical clarity.
Element All-Purpose - Provide a consistently crisp view. Developed and manufactured to exacting standards, each lens constantly transmits a precise amount of visible light, while a variety of lens tints allows athletes to choose their ideal color for peak performance.
Horizon Polarized - Eliminate blinding glare from reflective surfaces. Never having to squint translates into laser-like focus on what lies ahead.
[Refer to schedule for complete listing of all available lens tints and recommended uses]
Vortex, Helix and Draft are equipped with Bollé's Optics Control System, an interchangeable lens system that allows lenses to be quickly and easily changed to match the tint to the conditions. Protection from vision-diminishing moisture, as well as and oil and dirt contamination is provided by hydrophobic and oleophobic lens coatings.
These three new sunglass styles share an aggressive new design architecture, which maximizes field of vision and comfort while keeping the gram count to a minimum. Vented temples increase airflow and further shave weight. Details like moisture-absorbing Thermogrip® temple tips and nose pads keep the frames securely in place no matter the activity or conditions.
"From lenses to frames to the smallest details, Helix; Vortex and Draft have the latest and best technologies in performance eyewear," Dani LaGace, Global Director of Eyewear. "Bolle has always been at the forefront of technology and this new collection makes a loud statement about our commitment to aiding athletes in the pursuit of peak performance."
Vortex and Draft are sized to fit medium to large head shapes. A bit more compact, Helix is sized to fit medium head shapes. On retailers' shelves in January, all three styles are available in a variety of frame finishes. Vortex, Helix and Draft are all priced at $169.99 - $199.99.
