Bringing some Focus, Mercury Rising & K-Edge

PON brings Focus to DealerCamp

Retail buyers in the market for a new brand for their floor can now add Focus to their shopping list for DealerCamp. Focus will join sister marque Cervelo Cycles, which has has just become a member of the PON family of companies. The Dutch company PON Holdings acquired Cervelo Cycles from its two founding partners Gerard Vroomen and Phil White.

“We are delighted to add Focus Bicycles to the bike brands represented at DelaerCamp. Giving retailers these kind of options is part of our mission in helping retailers maintain and expand their offer and define their store’s culture,” commented Lance Camisasca, president of Lifeboat Events.

PON Holdings is entirely involved in transportation. While in the past PON has almost exclusively involved itself in motorized vehicles, over the past six months it acquired two bike companies: Derby Cycle AG and Dutch Royal Gazelle, the brands of which include Raleigh and Focus, among others.

Mercury Wheels Releases 2013 Line at DealerCamp

Mercury Wheels continues to push the envelope with lightweight, lateral stiff and reliable wheels without compromising performance. We will be introducing our 2013 Line at DealerCamp where you will have an opportunity to ride our latest and greatest wheels.

Here are just a few wheels we will have on offer: MZERO When creating the perfect wheelset, a few features kept showing up on our list: * Lightweight * Laterally Stiff * Responsive * Aerodynamic * Reliable.

Our original focus for the MZERO was to create a sub-1000 gram climbing wheelset, these wheels have quickly become an all round lightweight set of wheels for most race conditions. Lab results showed off the chart stiffness and strength in comparison to all other wheels on the market.

Chris DeMarchi from the Monster Media/MRI team asked how we built a wheel set with a 25mm wide rim, stiff enough to handle his 1800 watt sprint and still come in at 950 grams. We couldn’t give away all of our secrets, but it rests in years of R&D, using the best materials and the best people to build, basically what we refer to as The Mercury Standard.

The SZERO is a solid performing wheel set that can be summed up as living Champagne dreams on a beer’s budget. We have built the SZERO exactly as our MZERO with the exception of the hub set and a lower price.

If you can live with your all round wheels at just a hair over 1000 grams, then this wheel set is for you. Swing by the Mercury booth to test a set of Mercury’s on your own bike or ride what the Kenda Pro Cycling team rides…the 2013 Masi Evoluzione’s with a set of Mercury Wheels.
