Cannondale Factory Racing USA Strengthens Roster for Fontana

Coming off of another successful weekend of racing in California, Cannondale Factory Racing announces two additional signings just in time for this weekend’s U.S. Cup race in Fontana, California. CFR USA’s team riders Jeremiah Bishop and Tinker Juarez, fresh off of a dominating performance in last weekend’s Vision Quest, will be reinforced by rising cross country and marathon distance talents Benjamin Sonntag and Alex Grant.

Sonntag, 29, is based in Durango, CO and hails from Willingen, Germany. His best results in 2009 include 5th place in his country’s Cross Country national championship and a pair of 2nd place finishes at the challenging La Ruta de los Conquistadores. Already in 2010, Ben had a top-twenty finish in the recent San Dimas time trial stage on the road.

Grant, also 29, finished 4th at last year’s Leadville 100 and 2nd overall at La Ruta. He lives in Salt Lake City, UT and is originally from Richmond, VT.

Both Benjamin and Alex will be riding Cannondale Lefty-equipped Flashes, Scalpels and RZ120s. Learn more at or on twitter @ridecannondale.
