Bloomington, MN (CFEpr+) February 17, 2012 - Produced in the German region that brings us the market leading designs of Porsche and Mercedes, cycling technological powerhouse Acros (pr. AK-ros) will be showing its product line at QBP’s Frostbike dealer extravaganza from February 17-19th.

Acros specializes in CNC machining and precision bearing technology that translates into the highest-performing bicycle components on the market, at pricing that your customers can appreciate. Revolutionary components from Acros include:

The revolutionary A-GE hydraulic shifting system utilizes two fluid lines and a single paddle-style shifter to push mineral oil to the derailleurs where indexed rods provide never-before-experienced precision and consistent shifting pressure. Each push of the lever provides up to three shifts in both directions of the rear derailleur, and a front shift that is so light-action yet responsive.

The Blocklock headset features Acros’ patented precision bearing tolerances and precision, with elastomer “stoppers” that keep your handlebars (or downhill stanchions) from slamming into your top-tube. Numerous customers have called and written to thank Acros for saving their carbon tubed frames. Check out the Blocklock technology in the video below.

The Clamp is a revolutionary design which allows designers to eliminate star-nuts and compression tools necessary to set proper tightening on steerer tubes. Simply install the Clamp, slide your stem down on your headset, and turn the expansion screw, which snugs your headset against the top cup and stem without stressing the inside of your steerer tube. Currently used by Pro Tour team Omega Pharma Lotto, this design let’s the top bike designers create the ultimate bikes of the future.

Acros’ A-Flat pedal design provides Porsche-quality bearing technology, with an ultra-wide platform for clipped-in performance without the clips. Several of their top riders even use them despite being sponsored by other pedal manufacturers, they are that good. Available in black and white, with replaceable pins, these pedals are the ultimate for going downhill fast. Put a pair under your feet at the Outdoor Demo, or stop by Acros (near SRAM) at the indoor show.

Team Riders:
Mountain Bike legends Cedric Gracia, Richie Schley, Jeff Lenosky, Thomas Vanderham, Amir Kabbani, Tibor Simai and the Omega-Pharma Lotto Pro Tour Team utilize ACROS components to get to the finish line first, and to keep their bikes out of the mechanic’s stand. You can rely on the German attention to precision and detail that Acros provides.
