What is SST Tubing?
SST Tubing is hand shaped—not bulk hydro formed—in our frameworks in Vancouver WA, model and size specific. The shaping allows us to create the precise characteristics of life and rigidity in each frame. This is the level of detail that goes into each and every Ellsworth Handcrafted Frame.
The shortest distance between two points is a straight line, and that is maintained in the SST tubing, with subtle shaping that enhances clearance, increases stiffness, and reduces weight.
Three SST Imperatives:
1. Reduced weight and increased lateral stiffness means more of your energy is going to propel you forward, faster with less fatigue.
2. Increased clearance means easier access to adjustment knobs, and better stand-over, mounting and dismounting.
