Euro Enduro Excursion: More Riding in Provence

Video

Saturday was the second and final day at the Mavic press launch of its new Notch all-mountain apparel line here in Peillon, France. The day’s itinerary was fairly straight forward – ride bikes.

The only hitch was the weather. An overnight snow storm dropped about an inch of snow on the ground, making ride conditions challenging, slushy, cold, and wet. Still, all but one of the media horde sacked up and headed out for what ended up being a damn good day of riding. (Boohoo, Pink Bike ; )

Bottom line, if you ever get the chance to ride a mountain bike in the south of France, don’t pass it up. While this part of the world is best known for the sun-splashed beautiful people that wander the seaside boardwalks in Nice and Monaco, there’s a tantalizing labyrinth of awesome singletrack just a 20 minutes away.

Here’s a final look at some of the highlights from our two days ripping around with Mavic and friends. Check back in a few weeks for a full review on the new Notch apparel line, including helmet, jersey, shoes, and rain jacket.
