I chatted with Brent Foes about a few new bikes he has coming out this year and a few updates to already existing models. The Foes FXR has been completely redesigned for 2013, the popular Shaver now comes in a 29er version and there is a new slopestyle bike that is still in prototype right now.

Foes FXR - New for 2013

The FXR has been shredding the trails for over 8 years now. For 2013 we have redesigned the FXR from the ground up. The FXR now features 6.3" or 7" of adjustable rear wheel travel via the Progressive Linkage. It has the pedal efficiency of our Shaver, and simply put, the perfect geometry to rip your favorite trail with confidence. In addition to the above features, the FXR has a direct mount front derailleur, dedicated gravity dropper cable guides and hydroformed down tube. With a frame weight of 7.9lbs, the FXR will easily build into a sub 30lb All-mountain bike!
Shock options, geometry, and pricing TBC.

Foes Shaver

The Shaver is our go-to bike for trail riding in the San Gabriel Mountains, where an epic 2 hour climb can be followed by a 45 minute descent! Our Shaver benefits from all of the above Trail Range features. Weighing in at 7.5lbs, this perfect all-rounder can easily be built up under 28lbs. The Shaver is one of the most dialed in bikes Foes has ever produced.

Foes Shaver 29 - New for 2013

We kept getting requests from you to come up with a 29er version of our Shaver. We took all of the technology and lessons learned from building the Shaver and developed it into a 29er. It has an adjustable 5 or 5.5 inches of rear wheel travel and the pedaling efficiency of the Shaver 29 is second to none. We are notorious for the lateral stiffness of our frames, and the Shaver 29 is no exception.
Shock options, geometry and pricing TBC.

Foes Hydro

Since its launch in 2010, the Hydro has established respect for itself in the downhill category as one of the fastest bikes out there. With its light weight, 8.25" travel via our signature progressive linkage, nimble feel on the DH trails and the agressive geometry, it feels at home on the DH trails and race track. We have shaved some weight off of the main frame by hydroforming the downtube, whilst increasing rigidity and stiffness. The best DH bike out there, just got better.....
For 2013, we will also be offering a 7" travel reduction kit for the Hydro to create the ultimate short course heavy duty play bike.
