Formula is best known for its brakes, but the Italian brand also manufacturers suspension products. Their latest offering, the Selva, is a dedicated enduro fork with 35mm stanchions. It is available for either 27.5 or 27.5+/29er wheels.

The 27.5” models weigh roughly ~1940g, while the 29er” version weighs an additional 40g.

The 27.5 models weigh approximately 1940 grams, while the 29er version adds an additional 40 grams.

The 27.5 model can be internally adjusted from 120mm-160mm of travel. There is also an extended version that is internally adjustable between 170mm and 180mm.

The Selva is available with either black, purple, or white lowers.

The new fork has 13 clicks of compression, which can be adjusted via a handlebar mounted remote. The system is called Remote Cartridge Control (RCC) and uses a rotating hose that is integrated into the cartridge for adjustments.

This is what the Selva looks like without the RCC installed.

In comparison, most competitors use hydraulic fluid or cable to perform this task which adds weight and complexity.

Formula calls this valve system CTS - Compression Tuning System.

The Selva also has a wide range of low speed compression adjustments, but if that’s not enough, the entire circuit can be replaced. Formula offers three low speed compression valves for soft, medium, and firm tunes. They can be swapped in and out with simple tools without rebuilding the fork or bleeding the cartridge.

The ILS lever can be removed and reinserted at any position, or removed entirely if you’re attempting to maximize weight savings.

Another feature is the ILS (integrated locking system) axle. It works like a standard thru axle, but the lever is keyed. The axle can be inserted without lining anything up and once installed, the lever can be removed and repositioned to exactly where you want it.

The lever can also be removed entirely for weight savings. And there’s an after market lever that is lighter.
