Fyxation – Mesa MP Pedal and More for 2012!

Components Pedals

A few highlights of the new Mesa MP pedal from Fyxation as well as the Accela tire, Classic Leather saddle, Loop EVA Foam bar tape, Ano Bar End plugs and the original Mesa pedal

We recently received a batch of Fyxation products for testing, including their recently released Mesa MP flat pedals. The Mesa MP is an update to their original Mesa pedals, but with integrated replaceable steel pins. The Mesa line features a lightweight nylon pedal body and have an ultra slim profile (when it comes to flat pedals, thin is in.) The Mesa has DU bushings and double sealed bearings for maintenance free operation.

The Mesa and Mesa MP are targeted at the dirt jumper, BMXer, freerider or urban rider. 26″, 20″ or 700c. Singlespeed, fixie or geared. The steel pins of the Mesa MP are secured to the pedal body with a steel nut countersunk into the body to allow for easy pin swaps without risking damage to the pedal body. A 2.5mm hex wrench is all that is needed.

The Mesa MP weighs in at 351 grams per pair and like all Fyxation products, you won’t have to break the bank to pimp your ride.

Saw these (Mesa MP) at the Pedal Nation show in Portland. Super cool, great bearings and two pair sold while I was checking them out.

Fyxation seems to have a good thing going at good prices. Nice to see from a small company…

Just another rebranding of the HT pedal. Seriously, is it worth talking about companies that just buy it from HT and put their own sticker on the product? Whether it be Deity, Nukeproof, or Mesa?

  • DrB says:

You are right the Nukeproofs are a clone or copy, made in tha same house in Taiwan as some one had stated. The Fyxation ones are a bit different, you get some stainless pins (more pins actually) in a slightly different layout. The bast part about all of this is that in one area of the globe you can get the Nukeproofs fairly easy, in another the HT, and maybe someones LBS carries fyxation, so they do not have to pay an arm and a leg to get ship from overseas! I know my LBS carries these, and before I spend a fortune on shipping some black NP pedals I will buy these instead and be just as happy! More for everyone, is a good thing keeps us all on our wheels.
