Rider Ross Measures and filmer Matt Dennison took home first place honors and $5,000 at the Go Pro Dirt Diaries video awards ceremony last night at Crankworx in Whistler. Their What I do in Whistler brilliantly riffs on the ‘What x thinks I do’ memes that have become social media phenomena recently. The winning edit and five other entries were all screened in front of fans in Whistler’s Olympic Plaza last night.

A panel of five mountain bike film professionals selected the What I do in Whistler from a field that included the winners as well as other invited athlete/filmmaker parings of Claire Buchar and the Summer of Summit Crew, Kirt Voreis and Gunner Oliphant, Wade Simmons and Connor Macleod, Andrew Taylor and Long Nguyen; and Yannick Granieri and Jules Langeard.

GoPro Dirt Diaries Video Contest Results

1. Ross Measures and Matt Dennison – $5000
2. Kirt Voreis and Gunner Oliphant – $3000
3. Claire Buchar and the Summer of Summit Crew – $2000
