Hutchinson Riders Dominate Three Categories in UCI World Cup MTB Muddy Conditions at Mt. St. Anne Test Traction in XC and DH
Quebec City, Quebec - July 26, 2009 - - Hutchinson sponsored racers used a variety of tires to continue their dominance in their respective categories at the UCI World Cup Mountain Bike event at Mt. St. Anne, Quebec, Canada last weekend.
Many riders were prepping, planning and testing their wares, as Mt. St. Anne will be the site of next year's Mountain Bike World Championships.
Multi-time World and Olympic Champion Julien Absalon and Junior Champions Danny Hart and Anais Pajot utilized their arsenal of Hutchinson tires to beat the elements and their competition at the wet, muddy, rooted and rocky race twenty miles outside of Quebec City.
ABSALON CONTINUES HIS WORLD CUP WIN STREAK
While many of the pro men's field at the World Cup chose to run semi-slick tires for the cross-country race as the days rain had slowed to a mist, Absalon chose a more aggressive "Cobra" model for his front tire, with the tried and true "Python" for the rear.
This combination allowed Julien to maintain an aggressive attack in the slippery wooded sections of the course, while being able to roll to speed on the smoother sections near the start finish area. This win is his fourth of the season and puts him solidly 480 points ahead of the second place competitor in the World Cup points series, and almost locks the title for the year.

Hart used Hutchinson's famous Rhino Downhill tires to keep on two wheels through the treacherous Mt. St. Anne course. Keep an eye on Danny as he continues to strive to be World Junior Downhill Champion.
