Ibis Cycles Signs Anne Caroline Chausson for Another Season

News

Everyone at Ibis is happy to announce that 19-time World Champion Anne-Caroline Chausson is back on Ibis for 2012. You might remember she had a bit of a bumpy ride early this year, finding herself without a frame sponsor in March. Fortunately, we managed to smooth it out by getting on an Ibis Mojo HD.

Chausson was introduced to Ibis through a mutual friend, and though it came from out of the blue it was a connection that Ibis was happy to have made. When one of the greatest cyclists ever wants to ride your bike you don’t ask questions, you just get her what she wants. Fortunately for us, that was a Mojo HD.

From there, Chausson (aka – ACC) went on to win just about everything in sight. Including wins at:

  • MaxiAvalanche – Andorra
  • Avalanche Cup – Lyon (on a Tranny)
  • Coupe de France Enduro – Les Gets
  • Coupe de France Enduro – Allos
  • MegaAvalanche – Alpe d’Huez
  • Crankworx – Air DH
  • Crankworx – Canadian Open Enduro

For 2012 there was no doubt that we at Ibis wanted to keep the partnership going, and ACC felt the same way. “I really enjoyed working with this American company, and riding my Ibis Mojo HD” – said Chausson. “I’m happy that our collaboration will continue next season, and to represent the Ibis brand from the top of the podium.”

With ACC and Brian Lopes, we have been fortunate enough to work with two of the best riders in the history of the sport. It’s like we have this powerhouse racing team capable of winning every event they enter, and we could shuttle them around in the back of a VW bug if we wanted. As you can probably imagine, it’s a privilege for a company our size to be associated with some one of Anne-Caro’s caliber.

For 2012 Anne-Caroline will continue to race on the Ibis Mojo HD, Mojo SL-R, and Tranny in enduro, super-d and four cross events around the world.
