IMBA partnering with Outerbike to celebrate 30th anniversary

IMBA will host group rides and an evening celebration.

The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) is partnering with Outerbike to celebrate its “Dirty 30” anniversary, October 26-28, 2018, in Bentonville, Arkansas. The combined event pairs one of the country’s premier consumer bike demo and expo with the nationwide organization dedicated to mountain bike advocacy and education. Mark your calendars for a weekend of riding, partying and honoring the people who have made mountain biking happen over the past three decades.

As part of the Outerbike experience, IMBA will host special rides and a Saturday evening celebration. Everyone is invited, but space will be limited. Registration is available via Outerbike’s website and all ticket price levels include IMBA’s Dirty 30 Saturday night party.

There’s a host of great riding around Bentonville.

Bentonville is designated a silver-level IMBA Ride Center (there are 30 IMBA Ride Centers in the U.S. and nine others around the world). It is not just a quaint Ozark Mountain town packed with excellent restaurants, art museums and kid-friendly activities, but is a place that has embraced bicycle riding as a lifestyle and an identity.

“IMBA’s vision for the next 30 years is to catalyze and create more great places to ride close to home. Bentonville is a perfect example of where this is already happening and why we want that level of mountain bike access for every American,” said Aimee Ross, IMBA Event Director. “Mountain bike trails are taken seriously there and are a critical part of Bentonville’s liveliness. Mountain biking is integrated into the community and, as a result, benefits the economy and improves local quality of life.”

“Outerbike is all about sharing the best brands in world class riding destinations. After attending IMBA’s world summit in Bentonville, we fell in love with [the local] trails and now it has come full circle, as we bring Outerbike to Bentonville as our first east-of-the-Rockies venue,” said Mark Sevenoff, Owner of Outerbike. “Without IMBA, communities from Moab to Bentonville would have fewer trails, so we are thrilled to celebrate IMBA’s first 30 years and look forward to helping with the next 30!”
