Here is the 15mm through axle disc hub: 116g, 32 hole drilling and 100mm spacing. A very light hub that pretty much blows away anything currently on the market. My Hope hub is around 180g for comparison.
The American Classic cassette body has an interesting innovation in which they have 3 steel inserts that alleviate damage to the cassette body, the cassette hits the steel and not the softer aluminum of the rest of the body.

Really like the rear hub design. If it works as advertised will solve one of the problems with nice light (and vunerable) aluminum freehubs… should licence/patent that! Great idea!

I hope will the new freehub bodies will be available as replacements on existing hubs.

Spencer, yes the bodies will be available in approx. Jan. 09 for retrofitting. They will work on the 17mm hubs only, not on the older 15mm hubs. See the help tab at amclassic.com to identify if you have the newer 17mm hub design.

Will there be also a 15mm adapter kit for old AC front hubs? like hope, DT, I9,…do?
