Joshua and Kevin -- what's being reviewed here is our new wide angle Helmet HERO WIDE camera. It has a 170 degree wide angle lens and every single component of the camera us updated. There is barely a single internal part of the new camera that is the same as the original Helmet HERO you guys are using. Improved is image stability, low light performance, color saturation, clarity, and of course...it's now wide angle. You can see sample footage (a ton of it) here: http://vimeo.com/user619797/videos

We're launching our new site at http://www.goprocamera.com soon so for now the only videos are at the link above. We start shipping the new wide angles on OCT 15. Thanks all!

I ordered this cam after seeing it at the Montreal bike show and, be warned, THIS IS A TOY, not a decent camera. It has no image stabilization and the image quality is very low. It is acceptable for amateurs and novices but if you actually want to take some decent footage you'll have to look elsewhere.

My buddy andrew and I have used these cams on our local trails. they are ok for the price, but can sometimes be kind of strobey. Also, on rocky descents, there is A LOT of giggle in the frame. i'd say that they are probably better for \smooth\ sports like snowboarding, where there's less vibration.

walked by this booth and what did I see but my local trails being blasted on two huge flat screens. granted they were only two squares of six (i think it was six) but it was freaking awesome to see pac-town trails at interbike.

only thing, the riders in the video really need to hit ender to the wall ride, two of the coolest features there, yet they were passed by in for the video. :(

the vid was good quality though, totally want one of these little things
