It has a 170 degree wide angle lens and every single component of the camera us updated. There is barely a single internal part of the new camera that is the same as the original Helmet HERO you guys are using. Improved is image stability, low light performance, color saturation, clarity, and of course...it's now wide angle. It has no image stabilization and the image quality is very low. It is acceptable for amateurs and novices but if you actually want to take some decent footage you'll have to look elsewhere. Also, on rocky descents, there is A LOT of giggle in the frame. i'd say that they are probably better for \smooth\ sports like snowboarding, where there's less vibration.
