Oakley New Cycling specific eyewear, apparel and gear
Andy and Tony from Oakley show us some of the latest 2009 Oakley eyewear and apparel. First up are some the latest goggles, good for DH, BMX, or motocross. Also, a sneak peek at the new prototype Racing Jackets, fresh from Thor Hushovd and George Hincapie. Then Tony shows us some new Oakley board style mountain biking shorts and some new jerseys made of some interesting fabric.
Featured are 3 new goggles, the Crowbar, the Proven and the O Frame.
The Crowbar is shown in new “Rocker” colors and also the “Checked Out” pattern.
The Proven is an all new model for 2009, and features:
-ribbed venting on top
-triple layer foam
-flexible and comfortable
-angular architecture
-flexible nose bridge area for breathability
-wide feel of view
The O Frame is one of the original Oakley goggles, but has been updated in new colors for 2009
Andy also shows us the only 2 existing prototypes in the world, of the new Oakley Racing Jackets. These are hand made, CNC machined, and were featured at this year’s Tour de France worn by Thor Hushovd and George Hincapie. Cool features include: twin lens interchangeable, bottom portion swings away, cushions provided for the lens to eliminate any distortion from clamping forces when swapping lenses. These will be available in May 2009.
