The name evokes many different images for many different people. Upon hearing the words “Santa Cruz,” some lapse into reveries of surf pounded shorelines and the bark of seals at the wharf. Others might think of sunlight filtering through a distant redwood canopy. Tendrils of fog rolling across artichoke fields. Panhandlers downtown. Skateboards. Rickety wooden rollercoasters. The worst place to commute to or from, ever. For us, Santa Cruz is not only where this company is based, it’s where we live, and it’s where we ride. From the sandstone bluffs at the north end of the county, to the redwood duff trails at the south end and all the poison oak laced, not quite secret enough places in between, these trails are our home. There are far more practical and economically sensible locations for a bike company, places more conducive to business, towns with something like a realistic cost of living, but we’re happy right where we are, in this old cannery building four blocks from the beach. We wouldn’t trade it for the world. . |

That’s a cool quote. How involved are you guys with the efforts being put forth by MBOSC?

Gotta love the smell of freshly tuned and lubricated hucking hardware in the morning. Thats a pretty gorgeous 2010 line-up; something I’ve come to expect from Santa Cruz every year. I still huck the same bullit down the trail every day and will continue to do so until I can snag me a peaty rig. Right on Santa Cruz, keep up the great work!

Hi
It’s amazing How you guys still making bikes for life!!!
We can have an Heckler or a superlight (or else) with a few years and still be on top.
We can choose anyone from the chart and be sure that can’t be wrong and always get one of the best all over the world.
Ride the oldest SANTACRUZ you can find and you will surprised they are pretty good.
Keep doing it guys and make us smiling (and light our pockets - LOL! )

The picture of the green Heckler above is the first place I have seen one with headtube welds like mine. Why are the other Heckler headtube welds so much more rugged? The more rugged looking welds on the headtube are even advertised as being one of the pluses to this years bike. Im sure there is a simple and good answer to my question as I know Santa Cruz is top notch quality, but im just very curious and have not been able to find an answer.
