| Do you remember the first time that you rode a bike without training wheels? I do. It was summer and I was five. Early one sunny Saturday morning, Dad took the training wheels off my little red bike with his trusty Crescent wrench. Smiling, he said I was ready. I was pretty scared as he ran behind me, steadying me as I pedaled down the sidewalk. After a couple of ditched attempts, I was riding a bike “for real.” Excited and full of newfound confidence, I remember telling my mother that I was a “big kid” now.At X-Fusion we are taking our training wheels off as we introduce three brand new forks for 2010. The Vengeance is based on our new super-stiff 36mm chassis and is designed for all-mountain riders that are serious about pushing their limits. It is the best looking, best performing fork that we have ever made. Cross-country riders get some love too with our completely new Velvet. It features compression adjustment, improved overall damping, and is lighter to boot. Lastly , the new Enix takes the best features of our proven Velvet platform and brings them down to a new lower price point. We hope that you enjoy our new forks and our proven line of durable, high-value shocks. Our rider-operated office is brimming with enthusiasm. With big grins our faces, we eagerly announce to the rest of the world that we are big kids now. |

i was six and i asked father myself to remove training wheels off my green bike - my friend was racing around the apartment building and i could not keep up. with only two wheels left i was back in business (my brother - five at the time - did not appreciate my request but it was too late to go back). i’ve not grown up - yet - to dual suspension bike, just a front fork serves me well on my xc bike and mountains are unlikely to pop up anywhere close to chicago anytime soon. have not heard of X-Fusion before - may give it a try when the time comes to rebuild my current bike or get 29-er.

I have ridden the new Vengeance fork on a demo bike and it is very impressive. I am dying to get one on my own bike. Hopefully they should be out soon.
Speaking of my own bike. I currently have an X-fusion H3 rear shock. It replaced a pushed vanilla rc on my bike and I think it rides just as smooth on the downhills but shaved a pound of weight off of the bike and made climbing easier with the platform damping and the lockout. Love that shock.

Hey Lucyfek,
You should give our Velvet R a try on your XC Hardtail. The really cool thing about our fork is that it is 650b compatible. So you can either ride 26″ wheels or 650b. Before jumping to the 29er you should give 650b a try. Companies such as Haro Bicycles & Jamis Bicycles have their 650b platforms. Or you can mount a Velvet R on the front of your current hardtail and have a 650b wheel built up so you can see if bigger wheels would be the choice for you. It would be a less expensive option versus buying a complete bike. Then if you do really like and enjoy the benefits of the 650b then you can upgrade and still use our Velvet R fork for a new rig. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Cheers,
