Livigno, Italy, April 20th, 2011 – in the bike sport scene, Livigno has been well established for years as a diversified bike destination. This year, the Oakley Women Camp has discovered the unique mountain region for their visit from July 28th to 31st. Under the supervision of biking pro Karen Eller (GER) as well as three time 4-cross World Cup winner Anneke Beerten (NED), the ladies can experience Livigno’s many trails and enjoy the many bargains the tax-free shopping area has to offer.
The multi-faceted training schedule of the camp offers something for everyone; the participants can improve on their basic skills or fine-tune the right technique for difficult sections. The Bikepark Mottolino has the perfect terrain for every skill level, allowing the pros to address every participant’s need individually. Be it technical root sections, drops and jumps, or easily cruising down the world’s first Flow Country Trail, the ladies can try something new on every descent.
After an exhausting day on the bike, Livigno is a great place to relax. The participants are staying in a quaint Chalet resort where the houses are built in the typical mountain style of wood and stone. But don’t let the rustic façade fool you – the pampering treatment is quite the opposite. With a Finnish sauna and a Jacuzzi only 5 minutes away from the bikepark, sore muscles don’t stand a chance. Furthermore, Livigno is famous for its excellent cuisine and when the tax-free shopping beckons, it can sometimes be hard to pull away and focus on mountain biking.
Livigno is looking forward to the visit from the Oakley Women Mountainbike Camp and especially welcomes the two pros. Women who would like to discover Livigno’s trails under the instruction of mountain bike professionals without any pressure and lots of fun should sign up quickly since there are still a few spots available.
