Jay Petervary’s No Idle Tour Keeps on Rolling

August 16, 2011 – Endurance cyclist Jay Petervary will be tackling the 2,745 mile Tour Divide mountain bike route on August 26 to finish out his No Idle Tour. The route starts in Banff, Canada and follows the Continental Divide and finishes at the Mexico border of Antelope Wells, NM. It is Petervary’s goal to set a new record for the Tour Divide route in approximately 16 days. As part of the No Idle Tour Petervary set a record on the Iditarod trail by riding his snow bike 1,000 miles from Anchorage to Nome, AK. In June he completed the Race Across America route self supported in under 13 days. This is the first time anyone has recorded a time of the route outside of the sanctioned race. During Petervary’s rides he carries a Spot GPS tracking device which records his every moves. You can follow his adventures through Tracker Leaders’ website.

After Petervary completes the Tour Divide route he will be attending the bicycle trade show Interbike in Las Vegas, NV. Petervary’s Orbea bicycles will be on display at Slime’s product booth. Jay run’s Slime tubes on his road and mountain bikes.
