Shoot the Ride Returns for the Fourth Consecutive Year

The much coveted, highly anticipated, spectacular photo producing 4th Annual Kona Shoot the Ride Contest returns with a new twist...we are no longer in control. In the past we've seen shots from all over the world. Bikes in Africa, bikes in Slovenia, Canada, Thailand, and all parts in between. Action, emotion, moments, seconds, stories, you name it and we've seen it.

This year, we're opening the voting to you, the people. With a fast growing Facebook Fan base, and throngs visiting our Kona Cog on a daily basis, we figured we'd hand over the very important voting duties to you, all good lovers of the ride.

To participate, send in no more than 5 photos by May 31, 2011 to: photos@konaworld.com. Make sure to check back in the first two weeks of June where we'll post submissions on cog.konaworld.com and our Facebook Page. Shoot the Ride finalists will be announced June 15th with all of the winning photos presented for the entire world to see.

Tips if you want a shot at the $500 Kona Store credit for 1st, $150 for 2nd and $50 for 3rd? Be original, tell a story, capture the essence of cycling culture. Make us all teary then laugh out loud, curious as to what went into such an epic moment. We're not looking for Kona specific imagery, just cool, funky, different, dreamy, hard-driving pictures that offer a poignant snapshot of life's Long Sweet Ride.

2012 Entourage Sneak Peek Extravaganza

We've been having so much fun testing prototypes of our all-new Entourage short travel DH/Big Mountain/FreeRad mountain bike that we had to tell everybody. So we sent Kona Team member Graham Agassiz into the wilds of his interior British Columbia homeland to see what he thought. With 170mm of super plush travel, ultra short chainstays and geometry that's quick, intuitive, and totally committed to going down, the Entourage is all about progression Kona style. And if the feedback from one of the world's best big mountain cyclists is any indication, we're on to something good. Get the real lowdown from Agassiz and his fellow gang member, Kona's Gravity Product Manager, Chris Mandell. Together they've crafted a jewel, one explained in detail through our newly released Proto Testing video, and in a Sneak Peek interview with Mandell where he breaks down the design philosophy and marquee features of the all-new 2012 Kona Entourage.
