Vancouver B.C.(April30,2012)–Loeka clothing announces the launch of its fully recyclable clothing line. In conjunction with the new recyclable line, Loeka will be accepting all of its previous products for recycling as well.
“We’re really excited to announce this program to our customers and retailers. Loeka Clothing doesn’t wear out; but styles change and our riders like to update their wardrobes. Now we’re giving them the opportunity to give back to the community and the environment”, said Business Owner, RoryHarmse.
Customers will be able to return any Loeka Clothing item to the company or to any participating dealer to be reused and recycled. For recycling their old Loeka clothing, customers will be rewarded with a 10% off coupon to be used towards their next purchase of Loeka Clothing.
“This is the first step in our long- term plans of establishing a fully sustainable business. Our customers love the outdoors, we love the outdoors and want to do our part as a local business to make sure we’re taking care of it,” said Rory. “We want to recycle every piece of Loeka clothing that we have made, reducing our CO2 emissions by 80% and reducing our energy consumption by 84% or enough to power one house for a year.”
All clothing returned for recycling will be reused to extend the fabric lifespan. Second generation items can be returned again, so they can be recycled into new fibres to make new clothing.
Dealers already accepting Loeka clothing include Ruckus Skis, Boards and Bikes in Prince George BC, Ski Dazzle at Silverstar Resort, Mount Washington Resort or directly to Loeka Clothing.
