Quick report on the 2nd LLBP Volunteer Day + Grassroots Cycles’ Huktoberfest fundraiser…
We had another 75+ adults & kids show up en force to build additional challenge lines on Kids’ Meal singletrack and tamp dirt in the bike park zone. Some commented that a few of the challenge lines looked like Holy Cross! The BLM Water Truck made a few cameo appearances – kids young and old were psyched to get on the hose. A fun time was had by all…
From there we migrated uphill to Glade Park’s The Ranch for the LLBP fundraiser, Huktoberfest. Hosted by Grassroots Cycles, it was a thriller for all spectators with DS and Slopestyle competitions, brats and dogs and cool ‘fall-is-coming’ temps. 3 hours of big air and sweet tricks wowed the crowd of equally-respresented kids and adults. The pump track provided hours of entertainment for kids on bikes, and parents providing tips on how not to pedal.
Back to the LLBP… 1 week of construction is under our belts and the park is about 60% complete. Every day shows dramatic change to the landscape. Swing by if you’re in the neighborhood. And be sure to join us next Saturday, Oct 16 at 9am for the
