Manitou is another division of the Hayes Bicycle Group that is fully supporting the 27.5 movement. Highlighted here are the Manitou Marvel, Minute and Dorado mountain bike forks. The Marvel is XC oriented and comes in 80, 100 or 120mm of travel. The Minute is trail oriented and comes in 120 or 140mm. The Dorado is now available in a 27.5" version that is all new and has 203mm of travel.
In this video, Ed Kwaterski (Chief Engineer and Product Manager) of Manitou shows us the details of the 2014 Marvel, Minute and 27.5 Dorado forks.
Manitou Marvel Pro
"It's a tough name to live up to. When it comes to XC-it's all about efficiency. The hole shot, cleaning lines with precision, climbing like a goat and descending like a river. Not to mention being able to custom tune the thing with as little effort as possible. The Marvel-is a marvel. Rebound, damping and lockout is all external. And the stiffness will point the front wheel where you need it to go."
Manitou Minute Pro
"A great fork communicates everything that's happening between your tire and the trail, without jarring loose any expensive dental work. In the past, though, you had to accept a weight penalty in order to gain rock-solid steering. The Minute is here to change all that with its ultra-stiff 32mm stanchions, MARS Air spring, and available Hex Lock thru-axle. Forget about noodly XC forks and heavy trail forks. It's time for a Minute."
Manitou Dorado Pro
"The new Dorado Pro is an engineering masterpiece. 7050 legs, inverted construction, dual-chamber air spring, TPC+ damping (with independent high- and low-speed compression), hydraulic bottom-out and top-out, and Manitou's patented HexLock 20mm thru-axle add up to the most advanced downhill fork ever."
