National, World, and X Games Champion Marla Streb to coach BetterRide Women’s Only Mountain Bike Skills Camp
Gene Hamilton’s BetterRide is teaming up with Marla Streb to offer a comprehensive 3 day bike skills progression designed to provide women of all levels a foundation of core skills. Mountain Bike legend Marla Streb will coach alongside Gene Hamilton, passing on the same BetterRide curriculum that got her to the top of the podium on the National, World, and X-Games stage. Students excited to learn from legends of the sport like Gene and Marla are often surprised to find themselves learning alongside other top racers as well. BetterRide camps are often attended by both advanced beginners and professional riders looking to take their bike handling to the next level. Students will spend 24 hours over three days working on a progression of bike handling fundamentals.
This Camp will take place in Baltimore May 20-22nd and is open exclusively to Women riders. BetterRide offers a full schedule of Mountain Bike Skills Camps around the US. Students can sign up at BetterRide.net or by emailing info@BetterRide.net.
Mountain Biking is one of the fastest growing sports among women in the US. Proper technique on a mountain is often counter-intuitive, causing many riders to limit their improvement by ingraining bad riding habits. A proper curriculum of Core Skills progression enables riding in balance and in control. Mountain Bike champions who benefit from BetterRide Instruction include Ross Schnell, Greg Minaar, Sue Haywood, Marla Streb, Mitch Ropelato, Kelli Emmett and many many others.
BetterRide is skills coaching, not fitness training. Coaching sessions range from two hour clinics to three day camps across the US and abroad. BetterRide was founded by Gene Hamilton. With over 20 years of coaching experience including 12 years coaching mountain biking skills, Gene and his certified coaches get you riding your best. Gene is a licensed USA Cycling Expert Coach whose career highlights include coaching over 1,500 riders who just want to get better. He is passionate about coaching, riding and helping others reach their goals. A pretty good racer too, in 16 seasons as a pro racer he has won a Silver (2002) and two Bronze Medals (2006, 1999) at the UCI World Masters Championships. All mountain bike clinics, camps and private lessons are guaranteed to improve your riding or your money back.
