The famed French brand has made a hard push into the MTB world with wheels, shoes, helmets, and apparel.

Though arguably best known for its road wheels and yellow neutral service cars at the Tour de France, France’s Mavic has made a hard push into the mountain bike arena with an expansive product line-up that includes wheels, helmets, shoes and apparel. Mtbr got the chance to ride some of the new wheels last summer, and also published an extensive look at their apparel. Now Mavic has announced its full U.S. product line-up. Here’s a rundown.

From Mavic’s first full-carbon wheelsets to the latest iteration of the Deemax, 2017 sees a major injection of innovation into Mavic’s wheel line.

  • XA Pro Carbon ($2000) Mavic’s first full carbon rim is the result of a lengthy R&D process that produced a carbon rim that’s designed to balance lateral stiffness and vertical compliance. The result is a ride that’s claimed to maximize the benefits of carbon, accelerating on demand, with solid control and traction.
  • Crossmax Pro Carbon ($2000) The latest wheel in the Crossmax line benefits from the same carbon layup processes developed to build the XA, but packaged in a narrower profile (23mm Internal width, 28 external) for XC racers.
  • Deemax Pro ($1250) A complete wheel-tire system built for enduro, the Deemax Pro uses a 28mm rim, the new claw Pro XL tire, and crossed 2 spokes up front. In the rear are 25mm rims with isopulse lacing for faster rolling and maximum traction.

The Crossmax Helmet line focuses on design, comfort, and safety with equal attention. That philosophy is exemplified in several helmets in the 2016 range.

  • Crossmax Pro Helmet ($180) The Crossmax Pro provides full coverage and protection with comfort, breathability, and solid moisture management.
  • Crossmax SL Pro Helmet ($150) A pure cross-country helmet that combines aerodynamic qualities with added protection for the back of the head, the Crossmax SL Pro also offers solid ventilation and a removable visor.
  • Sequence XC Pro Helmet W ($150) Ergonomically shaped to better and more naturally fit a woman’s head, the Sequence also utilizes the Ergo SL Retention system which positions the helmet where it needs to be with a high degree of adjustability.

From XC to DH, from wide to narrow, and everything in between, the 2017 Mavic shoe range has a fit for every rider on every trail.

  • Crossmax SL Ultimate Shoe ($400) A dedicated XC shoe for race day developed with pro riders to balance maximum power transfer with minimum weight.
  • Crossmax Pro ($250) Utilizes Mavic’s Ergo Dial QR for strong tightening and micro adjustment and the Ergo Fit 3D+ Ortholite insole.
  • Deemax Pro ($200) New this year, this enduro racing shoe is designed to ride hard with control and protection. The asymmetric construction protects the inside of your angle in heavy riding conditions and the new Energy Grip AM outsole offers optimum stability and pedal control.
  • Echappee Trail Elite W ($120) A women’s trail shoe that’s built around comfort and versatility, the Echappee is just as comfortable off the bike as it is on it.
