NAHBS 2012 Award Winners – 2013 Location Announced

News

Mtbr’s coverage of NAHBS continued with day two today and we shot video interviews with 23 builders! The videos will be live soon. All of the builders were great and today’s list included names such as Craig Calfee, Steve Rex and Steve Potts. We also interviewed builders from as far away as Italy (Pitz!) and the Czech Republic (Festka). But (with no disrespect to any of the others) the highlight of the day had to be our extensive interview with none other than the legend himself, Tom Ritchey. Stay tuned.

In a change from the normal routine, Don Walker (found and organizer of NAHBS) announced the majority of Award Winners at 3:30pm today (instead of the usual announcements and presentation on Sunday afternoon). Virtually everyone was in agreement that this was an improvement since it gave the builders better recognition and show attendees could be sure to pay “extra” attention to all the ribbon winners. Awards were given in various divisions with up to 3 winners per category. The winners are:

Materials Division
Best steel construction – Bishop Bikes, Ellis Cycles
Best titanium construction – Kent Eriksen Cycles, Steve Potts
