These guys are set up in the booth just across from the Mtbr/RoadBikeReview booth and their bikes are very eye catching.

The idea of a wooden bicycle is not exactly new. In fact, there was even a recent news article about a 16 year old high school student making one on his own.

But this company, Renovo Hardwood Bicycles, based in Portland, OR has created wooden bikes that look simply beautiful. Not only is the bike visually stunning, the attention to deal is amazing, and the bike looks just like a regular metal framed hardtail or road bike, except that it is made of wood. The joints are amazing.

Wood is an interesting frame material, but can be heavy. But because this is a monocoque design, it is light weight (the scale with the road bike reads 17.75 pounds).

Here are a few more photos.
