National Danish UCI MTB race series SHIMANOliga

News

“For the 2010 season we’re once again presenting a challenging XCO race series with five UCI races in Northern Europe. Two cat 3 and three cat 2 races, with accompanying world ranking points and great cash prizes. The tracks vary a lot over the series from venue to venue. Expect many changes of directions, tight bends, a lot more climbing that you would expect, and toss in a serious amount of challenging root-filled and off-camber descends here and there and you got yourself a great race. Fire roads are not anywhere near the tracks Denmark can present.

The terrain is very varied: The ascends are short but steep and only the strongest of riders are in the spot for winning. We’ll be racing the terrain where former World Champions Henrik Djernis, Michael Rasmussen and Jakob Fuglsang have learned their 101 in mountain biking. There’s no entry fee for international riders, and with awesome cash prizes for the individual races as well as for the overall winners there’s no excuse!

Have a look on the http://www.SHIMANOliga.dk site and sign up for the race of the series.”
