The NiteRider 750 sits in a middle of a crowded line of lights with a small lighthead and small battery that provides 1.5 hours of output at a claimed 750 Lumens. It delivers this in a $250 price point.
It is not a bad light but NiteRider’s own Lumina 650 is a much better light for $100 less. The 750 is only 50 Lumens better than the Lumina 650 according to our Lumen measurements. Also, the 750 is over 100 grams better and is not self-contained. The only reason for the Pro 750 is if it was much brighter or much longer run time. As it stands, it has been trumped by the much improved Lumina 650.

Bar mounting on the handlebar is performed by rubber bands hooking on to holders on the light head. The light can be aimed and rotated slightly by loosening a mount screw. The battery can be stem mounted. On the helmet, a handlebar ‘pipe’ can be mounted to the helmet and the light head attaches to that. The battery can go on the helmet but the system is slightly too heavy at about 270 grams complete.

We photographed the lights in the same location setting with the same camera settings. The photos were taken in the back yard that is approximately 25 yards long. These photos feature many objects and a distinct background to analyze detail and beam pattern.

The location is useful since it has walls and a ceiling that can display a bike light beam pattern. The walls have a lot of graffiti on them and actually show detail when they are lit up by a light with a wide angle. Cones and targets are set up with the far target set up at 80 yards.
