Norco showed us a fascinating carbon version of their Norco Sight 650b. The Sight is a 140mm travel bike purposely designed for the 650b/27.5 wheel size. It was featured in the Mtbr 650b All Mountain bike Round Up and was our favorite of the batch.

Our full review of the aluminum Norco sight is here and what we liked about it are:

  • short 16.8 inch chainstay
  • low 13.3 inch bottom bracket height
  • agile handling
  • excellent small bump compliance and rough terrain versatility
  • What we didn’t like so much is the cable routing and the lack of a carbon fiber option. Well this new version solves both these issues with internal routing a newly designed carbon frame. Weight is targeted at 5.3 lbs.

Price is not yet announced and it should be available at the end of 2013.

The geometry is the same as the aluminum version of the Norco Sight so our recent review should be a very good indicator of how this bike will ride.

Looks nice…really like that they are making two versions w & w/o front derailleur. Also liking the internal routing.

    • Eric says:

      Wow, looking good Norco.

They’re new to the carbon scene with the mountain bike line, so I hope their carbon bikes hold up!

    • RC says:

As a mechanic and rider internal routing can go to hell. Give me easily changed, straight as possible external runs for optimal performance.

    • Nick says:

I could not agree more with RC. Why the push for internal routing? Because its pretty?
