OGIO’s Endurance Collection

OGIO Unveils New Endurance Collection

New Bags are Designed for Athletes Requiring the Highest Performance Gear

Salt Lake City (Jan 18, 2012) – A trailblazer and award-winning designer of bags and apparel for sport and adrenaline-driven lifestyles, OGIO is continuing to expand the brand’s horizons by journeying into the world of endurance sports. OGIO’s Endurance Collection will provide runners, swimmers, triathletes, cyclists, downhill mountain bikers and other athletes with the ultimate in organization, protection and comfort for their high-intensity workouts and competitions.

“We created the Endurance Collection to meet the needs of endurance athletes around the world who are participating in one of the fastest growing segments of athletic competition,” said Tony Palma, CEO, OGIO. “Our designers have worked with some of the world’s top endurance athletes to create a premier collection of bags built to withstand the rigors of training, yet are lightweight enough to carry on race day.”

As the Endurance Collection’s premier bag, the 9.0 Endurance Bag is loaded with all the features the ultimate athlete demands. The 9.0 includes two molded and lined compartments that provide the ultimate in protection for goggles, sunglasses, heart rate monitors and other electronic devices. Additionally, the 9.0′s wet/dry pocket provides 360-degree ventilation gussets ensure that wetsuits as well as soiled clothes stay separated from the rest of the bag. In addition, a ventilated shoe compartment big enough for two pairs and a ventilated compartment for dirty clothes maintains good airflow, even after the most rigorous performance.

The 9.0 Endurance Bag also offers designated compartments and pockets to store a bicycle helmet, nutrition bars, hydrating liquids, and other accessories, allowing competitors to focus their attention on the task at hand rather than on their bag. The new bags also sport adjustable shoulder straps that can be worn backpack style and also includes an integrated carry-handle to promote mobility while on the move.

The Endurance Collection also offers athletes six additional bag options; the 8.0, 7.0, 5.0, 3.0, 2.0 and 1.0 all provide various sizes and compartments to match specific needs. The collection will be available at specialty bike, running and multi-sport stores across the nation in February 2012.

“We’re proud that OGIO has become synonymous with providing high-caliber athletes the best bags they can find in their respective sport, and we are excited to expand our existing stable of unique and stylish bags with the launch of the Endurance Collection,” said Palma.
