Moab, Utah – Outerbike is a consumer demo event for 2012 road and mountain bikes in Moab, Utah October 7th, 8th and 9th. Exhibitors include: Fox Racing Shox, Ibis, Kona, Pivot, BH, Rocky Mountain, Santa Cruz, Specialized, Trek, Turner, Yeti, Giant, Ellsworth, Unicycle.com, Osprey, Orbea, Cycles Devinci, Niner, Fatback, GT, Deuter, Club Ride.
In its second year, Outerbike has something for every kind of rider. Cyclists in the market for a new bike will have the unique opportunity to REALLY test ride bikes, back to back, on world-class trails. For mountain bikers that have never made the pilgrimage to Moab, Outerbike’s $150 price tag makes it the cheapest way to discover this biking mecca. The total bike geek and lover of all things bicycle related will relish having access to product designers, pro racers, and other industry insiders.
Outerbike promoter, Ashley Korenblat, explains: “Outerbike is a great chance to meet the folks behind the bikes and get to ride on World-class trails. The Moab BLM has partnered with us and Grand County to create one giant demo site just outside of Moab. And since new exhibitors continue to sign up we have lots and lots of bikes to ride on miles of new trails from easy to technical. ”
Registered participants will be able to visit each booth, tell them their height, toss over their pedals and take a spin on the Bar M trails right from the exhibit site. And there will also be shuttles to a different trail each day coming and going every 15 minutes. So checking out Moab’s other famous trails will also be possible.
In addition, a brand new paved bike path goes right to the site giving participants great access to road rides into Arches or Canyonlands National Parks. Downhill specific shuttles will be running daily.
Participants will receive demos for all 3 days of the event, lunch and Clifbar products, admission to evening parties and films, plus great stuff from exhibiting companies. The Registration fee for the three-day event is $150. Korenblat adds, “The bike companies work hard to get their new product ready for the Vegas show, but since that show isn’t open to the public, only dealers get to ride the new bikes. Now everybody can.”
