Park, Looney compete at Mountain Bike Marathon Worlds
St. Wendel, Germany – Americans Krista Park (Madison, S.D./Cannondale-incycle.com) and Sonya Looney (Boulder, Colo./Topeak Ergon) wrapped up competition at the 2010 UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships on Sunday in St. Wendel, Germany.
Park, who finished third at the 2010 USA Cycling Mountain Bike Marathon National Championship, placed 27th overall with a time of 5:06:16. Looney came in 30th, finishing the 107-kilometer course in 5:10:43. Esther Süss of Switzerland won the race.
No American men competed in the event.
