With so many technological innovations happening on the retail forefront each year, it can be hard for shops and home mechanics to keep on top of the tools needed. Thankfully, Park Tool does that job for us, introducing several new products this year, as well as some updated versions of existing tools that increase compatibility to fit with new sizing standards.

The one and only Calvin Jones ran us through several key additions to the Park Tool lineup for 2017, including a grease gun that easily attaches to Park Tool grease tubes for more precise, easier dispensing. They also have a new internal routing system with a Shimano-specific end that attaches to the eTube routing device. Like previous iterations, it allows a mechanic to draw the cable through the frame with ease, using the help of magnets. There are also new bottom bracket adhesives for threaded and press fit BBs that allow riders to silence creaky bottom brackets.

Newly updated pieces include the TS-4 - a truing stand for big wheels (and small ones, too). This new stand is compatible with hub widths up to 215mm and features a built-in thru axle adapter.

Meanwhile, the PRS-22 Race Stand is another tried and true Park Tool product that's received a handful of industry-driven updates. It features a thru-axle compatible design (12mm, 15mm, or 20mm), adjustable center of gravity and platform position, and bottom bracket holsters that move forward, backward, or flip for different width BB shells. Weight is approximately 13 pounds.
