When I last talked to Calvin from Park Tool (at the recent QBP SaddleDrive event) he gave me a hint as to what new products they would be showing at Interbike. He said the new product would be, “Made for you if you have a bad back or a really heavy bike.” My guess at the time was a power lift bike stand.
One of the main new products (out of the many on display) from Park Tool is the PRS-33 Power Lift Shop Stand. Now, a power lift shop stand is definitely not something the average consumer is going to buy. This stand was meant for shops and can lift up to 120 lbs! If your shop works on a lot of heavy DH rigs, electric bicycles or heavy cruisers…this just might be a welcome addition to keep your mechanics happy.
In this video, Eric Hawkins from Park Tool shows us some of their new tools for 2013 including the Power Lift Shop Repair Stand.
The Park Tool Power Lift features:
-Adjustable height from 6” to 78” (16cm-198cm)
-Integrated work tray
-Integrated accessory bar to hang wheels, air hoses, lights and just about any other accessory you can think of
-Electric motor able to smoothly lift 120 pounds (54kg)
-Oversized gussets to mount stand directly to the floor
-100-3D Micro Adjust clamp
