Pedro’s Tutto and Tülio Chain Tool and Q-R Multi-Tool

Gear

I first learned about the Tülio and Tutto tools from Pedros about 2 and half years ago at the Bike Press Camp product launch. The Tülio (named after Tullio Campagnolo) is a cool little tool that is built into a skewer, so that you will always have it with you on your rides. The Tutto is a quality chain tool that can handle 8, 9, 10 or 11 speed chains (including Campy 11). After a bit of a wait, both of these tools have recently become readily available on the market. We received these in for testing and we will be doing a complete write-up soon.

The Tülio Q/R Skewer Multi-Tool

If you’re like me, you sometimes switch packs and saddle bags from ride to ride. Sometimes I’ll just grab a tube, a lever, a CO2 and a small multi-tool and put it in my jersey pockets. What invariably happens later on down the line, is that I’m on a ride without the right tool at the right time. The Tülio helps in cases like these because the tool is right there on your bike!

The 8 tools included on the Tülio are:
-4, 5, 6, and 8mm hex wrenches
-#2 flat-head screwdriver
-chain tool (single-speed -11 speed compatible)
-two spoke wrenches (3.23mm and 3.45mm)

The Tülio weighs 99 grams and comes with a 2-year warranty. MSRP is $39.99

From the manufacturer:
“Tülio is a completly new way of carrying the tool during a ride. Tülio provides functionality of a standard quick-release mechanism with a multi-tool. When the quick-release is open, the tool (quick-release handle) can be separated from the axel and operated as a hand-tool with 8 functions. ”

The Tutto Multi Chain Tool

As soon as you lift the Tutto and hold it in your hands, you can feel it’s heft. It’s this mass and shape that will make your chain easy to work with. The key feature to the Tutto’s compatibility is the “Fit Dial” that rotates to work with the following chains: 1-8 speed, 9/10 speed, 11 speed and 11 speed peen. The Tutto is a shop quality tool and will be the last chain too you will ever need (or at least until 12 speed comes out!)

Besides the Fit Dial, the Tutto features:
-RPG (retracting pin guide)™ that supports and guides the tool pin up to the face of the chain eliminating misalignment and breakage. For Campagnolo and Shimano chains, the RPG encloses the guide pin or master pin to prevent loss, bending or breakage, launching the guide pin directly into its intended target.
-Durable aluminum handle with ergonomic set back, protecting fingers
-Guide pin sheer slot for a clean break every time
-Compatibility: all 1/8” and 3/32” single and multi-gear chains

The Tutto weighs 375 grams and comes with a lifetime warranty. MSRP is $89.99

From the manufacturer:
“Tutto Chain Tool is a wonderful piece of engineering and craftsmanship. Hold it and work with it and you understand what we are saying.”

Stay tuned for the full write-up and review coming soon.

The Tulio is really cool and I want one =)
However, I can’t help but wonder how well the chain tool works. At this size, they it usually sucks.

I have the Tutto chain tool & I don’t know how I lived without it before! This is the one & only chain tool you need. I’m a mechanic & having 2 or 3 park chain tools wrapped into 1 is superior in every aspect. It is expensive, but well worth it.
